Screening and Q&A: Cartel Land

February 11, 2016

Academy Award nominee for Best Documentary, Cartel Land tells the story of opposing sides of the U.S.-Mexico border, where two vigilante groups are led by men staunch in their belief that they are saving their countries in the fight against Mexican drug cartels. In Arizona, military veteran Tim “Nailer” Foley leads a paramilitary group called Arizona Border Recon, while in the Mexican state of Michoacán, Dr. José Manuel Mireles organizes the citizens rising up against the Knights Templar cartel. Members joined us for a screening followed by a Q&A with director, Matthew Heineman.
