Forced to Flee: What Do Refugees See For Their Future?

Madison Square

20 June, 2018

Refugees are no longer front page news but people are still being forced to flee their homes at a rate of 20 per minute – more than half of them children under 18. The causes continue unabated – war, tribal and gang violence, the repercussions of climate change – but the world has moved on to the next #hottopic. Accompanying the conversation was a screening of the short film My Intention Was Not To Leave which shares accounts of three children displaced from their homes due to conflict and persecution. Hosted by member Nicole Riggs and Lara Setrakian of News Deeply.
