In Conversation: Carroll Dunham & Glenn O’Brien

Madison Square

December 8, 2015

Following his exhibition at Gladstone Gallery, Carroll Dunham joined us, with Glenn O’Brien, to discuss his work. Working since the late 1970s, Dunham’s career reached critical renown in the 1980s, a period during which many artists returned to painting. He is known for his conceptual approach to painting and drawing and his interest in exploring the relationship between abstraction and figuration. O’Brien is an American writer, on the subjects of art, music and fashion, and he was the first editor of Interview magazine. Members joined us for a spirited, lively conversation between these two friends.
