Season 2 of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power takes a stark turn, becoming bleak, violent, and exceedingly grim for its heroes. To establish that descent into darkness, Director Charlotte Brändström and DP Alex Disenhof even created a custom lens filter that stripped nearly all color from the frame.
