NeueHouse & Platform Pair Up

A new series bringing the David Zwirner-backed startup's curation and access to NeueHouse Members.

This past summer, as the pandemic was (or wasn’t) winding down, a new player made news in the art world. Platform, a new David Zwirner-backed destination for buying art online, is taking aim at expanding access to the art market by pairing expert curation with a democratizing eCommerce model.

Each month, Platform partners with a different independent gallery to offer a selection of works by its artists for sale, providing an entry point to today’s most inspiring art and artists. While this eCommerce approach might not sound like a groundbreaking shift given that we now buy just about everything else online, it’s a huge step forward in a context where direct access has never been the coin of the realm. Platform is set to change that, and it’s hard to argue with something that opens collecting a wider, engaged audience.

Now we’re thrilled to announce that Platform and NeueHouse are coming together for a new IRL series giving Members an insider’s look at what’s exciting in art today—from intimate talks with emerging artists to private tours of leading fine art print publishers and more.

As two champions of creativity and emerging talent, NeueHouse and Platform are excited to make engaging and living with art more accessible. Members will hear from artists working now, get a first-hand look at how they create, and gather around art world moments—in short, a taste of the world of art and collecting, a collision of culture and commerce.

On Wednesday, January 19th, NeueHouse Members are invited for the first installment in the series: an offsite at Two Palms, the renowned fine art print press. Known for its artist-friendly, collaborative approach, Members will get a behind-the-scenes look at how great art gets made.

Stay tuned. There’s more to come.
