Studio Visit: Glenn Kaino

Glenn Kaino Studio

NeueHouse members enjoyed a private visit to artist Glenn Kaino’s Hollywood studio. Kaino, an LA-native, has been the subject of solo exhibitions at Honor Fraser gallery, The Studio Museum in Harlem, LAXART, Creative Time and the Andy Warhol Museum. Trained as a sculptor, his work has roots in conceptual art, performance, software development, and even magic. Whether playing chess with burning game pieces or creating sculpture out of gold-dipped toy airplane kits, Glenn Kaino’s practice is constantly merging the formal with the conceptual.
