In Conversation: Behind the Scenery of Hamilton

Hollywood

09 August, 2017

Lin-Manuel Miranda’s musical Hamilton was called by Rolling Stone “the most unlikely cultural phenomenon in a generation.” In celebration of the acclaimed musical’s arrival to Los Angeles, Tony-award winning Hamilton director Thomas Kail (Miranda’s closest collaborator and the Emmy-award winning director of Grease Live!) and Hamilton set designer David Korins (Emmy-winner for his production design of Grease Live! while also currently being represented by three other Broadway shows; Dear Evan Hansen, War Paint and Bandstand) joined us for a peek behind the curtain and discussed the making of the Hamilton aesthetic and the process of working on the show from workshop to Broadway.
