In the 1980s, this meant serving as a space for discourse on race, class, and sexuality – and in the 1990s for the so-called ‘culture wars’. Hamza Walker, Director of LAXART, joined NeueHouse to discuss his organization’s relaunch, and the role of alternative art spaces in the 21st century.
