Richard Kern: New York Girls, 20th Anniversary

Filmmaker, writer and photographer Richard Kern, a leading figure of New York’s 1980s underground artistic scene and the shock-value oriented Cinema of Transgression, was joined in conversation by actor Leo Fitzpatrick (Kids, The Wire) to celebrate the release and 20th anniversary of his best-known work, New York Girls, 20th Anniversary (TASCHEN). The book is an updated edition with never-before published outtakes from the original photo sets, stills from his 25 films, and photos rejected as too explicit for the first book.
