The allure of magic has always been tantalizingly two-fold: We love being fooled; we also love knowing we were only fooled. We love knowing that behind every illusion is a method — a process that will always remain deliciously hidden behind the magician’s sly grin. In this special preview performance of his upcoming show, Every Hidden Thing, magician Alex Harris used mentalism and prestidigitation to pierce the veil of daily existence and show us how magic’s durable mysteries can revive our healthy sense of wonder.
