Mickalene Thomas at Aperture

Members joined Mickalene Thomas and a group of prolific artists–Derrick Adams, Renée Cox, Lyle Ashton Harris, Xaviera Simmons, and Hank Willis Thomas for a personal tour at the Aperture Foundation of Muse: Mickalene Thomas Photographs and tête-à-tête. The exhibition provideed an intimate and comprehensive look at the creative dexterity of Thomas’ artistic practice, while showcasing essential works that have inspired her throughout her career. Presented in collaboration with ARTNOIR, the evening explored the role of the muse as a catalyst for creative expression and collaboration.
