Philadelphia’s CRUISR makes dancey, melodic indie pop with a frenetic ‘80s new wave vibe. Formed in 2012, CRUISR initial began as the solo project of singer/songwriter Andy States. Working on home recordings, States began corresponding with Youth Lagoon’s Jeremy Park, asking for recording advice and sharing demos. This led to a collaboration between States and Park, and eventually transformed into the live band we know today. Members joined us for Brunch in the Gallery, where CRUISR played some stripped-down hits.
