Book Launch: David Litt’s Thanks, Obama: My Hopey, Changey White House Years

Madison Square

05 October, 2017

At age 24, David Litt became one of the youngest White House speechwriters in history. Along with remarks on issues like climate change and criminal justice reform, he became President Obama’s go-to writer for comedy – his jokes helped shape Obama’ legendary White House Correspondent’s Dinners. Litt discussed his new book with Lit Up’s Angela Ledgerwood, shared behind-the-scenes insights from his Obama years, and addressed one of today’s most important issues: the legacy and future of the Obama movement in the age of Donald Trump.
