Ari Taymor founded alma in 2012 as a pop-up concept. His restaurant of the same name became a well-loved hallmark of the downtown Los Angeles restaurant scene before shuttering last year. Now taking up residency at the Standard Hotel, Chef Ari’s Southern California inspired cuisine has garnered attention both domestically as well as internationally. Members joined the talented chef for a unique demonstration of his famed foie gras dish using liquid nitrogen. Chef Ari was joined by his friend, designer Stephen Kenn followed by a dynamic conversation about the creative process.
