Breakfast with The Paris Review

March 25, 2016

Founded by expatriates in Paris in 1953, The Paris Review is America’s most celebrated literary magazine. Members joined editor Lorin Stein for a conversation and preview of the magazine’s Spring Issue. The number features an interview with journalist and biographer Robert Caro; fiction from Jensen Beach, Benjamin Hale, and Dana Johnson; and poetry from John Ashbery, Mary Jo Bang, and Mary Ruefle. For the issue, Luc Sante curated the portfolio “Carluccio & Co.,” which includes magazine covers designed by Sante, collages by Jean-Michel Basquiat, and flyers for readings and concerts from the late seventies and early eighties.
