Iconoclast: Daniel Boulud, Jeffrey Beers, & Michael Hainey

March 1, 2016

In a world where truly private discourse is hard to come by, NeueHouse hosts a monthly discussion with two industry icons who have shaped their industries. That is, we attempt to create a space conducive to candidness and truth–guests were asked to turn off their cellphones and refrain from posting content from the talk on social media. This month, GQ Editor at Large and NYT bestseller Michael Hainey went in depth with French chef and restauranteur Daniel Boulud, and artist and architect, Jeffrey Beers, both renowned in their fields. Boulud’s eponymous restaurant, Daniel, is one of only a few Manhattan establishments to have a coveted two-star Michelin rating, while Beers and his firm have received three Gold Key Awards for design excellence and boast The 40/40 Club and the Pomme Palai amongst their projects. Guests heard about Boulud and Beers’ biggest challenges, mistakes, career highlights and disappointments, and a myriad of personal anecdotes.
